	Lake Wind Advisory
Statement as of 9:30 AM CST on December 04, 2008 ... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM CST this afternoon... A lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM CST this afternoon. The advisory area is along and west of a line from Columbus to Vicksburg. Gusty north winds will continue across the arklamiss in the wake of the cold front today. The strongest winds will develop over southeast Arkansas... northeast Louisiana and northwest Mississippi this morning and afternoon. Sustained wind speeds from 15 to 25 mph can be expected with possible wind gusts to 35 mph. Wind speeds will decrease later in the afternoon as the cold front pulls farther away from the region. A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 miles per hour occasionally bring down large limbs and rotted trees causing serious injury and property damage. Exercise caution when outdoors during these strong winds.
