Statement as of 12:18 PM CST on December 27, 2014

...Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northeast Louisiana and Mississippi...generally along and southeast of a line from Natchez to Vicksburg to Grenada.

* Through Sunday afternoon

* rainfall amounts of two to four inches are expected this weekend with locally higher amounts possible. Given wet ground conditions from recent heavy rain in the watch area...heavy rainfall rates could cause rapid run-off and flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
