... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST Tuesday...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect until 6 am CST Tuesday.
* Timing: periods of rain... possibly heavy at times... will continue along a Kansas City to Cameron Grant City line through much of the afternoon hours. A gradual mix or changeover to snow during the late afternoon and evening hours will be possible.
* Main impact: a wet snow is expected due to the relatively warm and moist air wrapping into the system. Total snow accumulations of 1 inch is expected at this time... mainly during the evening and nighttime hours.
* Other impacts: warm roads will limit accumulation on Road surfaces but snowfall rates may be high enough to overwhelm those relatively warmer Road surfaces at times. Snow accumulations are more likely on elevated and grassy surfaces.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
