Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 1:27 AM CST on March 01, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
today...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and freezing rain
remains in effect until noon CST today.

* Short term trends... a band of light freezing rain... sometimes
mixed with sleet or light snow will continue over south central
Missouri... generally south and east of a Cassville to Hartville
to Rolla line. This band of wintry precipitation will continue
through the overnight hours. Freezing drizzle can be expected
outside of the main band of precipitation.

* Timing and areas affected... through tonight across the Missouri
Ozarks and south central Kansas.

* Snow accumulations... only minor amounts of snow are expected
through the night.

* Ice accumulations... general ice accumulations will range from a
glaze to around a tenth of an inch where the heaviest
precipitation is occurring.

* Impacts... the combination of falling and accumulating snow as
well as ice will make travel conditions hazardous. The Kansas
and Missouri departments of transportation continue to report
snow covered roadways along with numerous slide offs and
accidents.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain and snow will
cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and
limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
