Statement as of 11:35 AM CDT on April 18, 2015

... The Flood Advisory for heavy rain remains in effect until 300 PM
CDT for eastern Cherokee... Jasper... McDonald and Newton counties...

At 1132 am CDT... the heavy rainfall that occur this morning has come
to an end... though light rain will remain possible into the early
afternoon. Even though the heavy rain has ended... run off from this
heavy rainfall will continue into the afternoon hours resulting in
the potential for flooding of low water crossing and flood prone
areas.

Runoff from this heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding. Creeks...
streams and low water crossings will be especially susceptible to the
dangers of flooding.

This advisory includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...

Highway 43 at Buffalo Creek west of Anderson...
north main and Murphy Boulevard in Joplin...
business Highway 60 just north of Neosho...
Highway 37 at the Spring River southwest of Avilla...
Highway 7 at little Cherry Creek north of Columbus.
