At noon Tuesday...showers and isolated thunderstorms were moving across much of southeast Missouri...in southern Illinois along and west of Interstate 57...and into portions of The Purchase area of Kentucky. Through 1 PM...the activity will begin to slowly dissipate...with hourly rainfall amounts averaging a few hundredths of an inch and higher amounts around the thunderstorms. Most of the storm activity will occur near the communities of Tamaroa...Mount Vernon and the Rend Lake area of Illinois. And near the communities of Marble Hill and Cape Girardeau Missouri.
