    * Flood Warning for...
    Adair County in northeast Missouri
Chariton County in north central Missouri
Grundy County in north central Missouri
Harrison County in north central Missouri
Linn County in north central Missouri

southwestern Schuyler County in northeast Missouri
Sullivan County in north central Missouri

    * until 330 PM CDT Saturday

    * at 313 PM CDT... local law enforcement and transportation
department officials continued to report Road closures due to high
water. This flooding has resulted from the multiple rounds of
extremely heavy rainfall over the past couple days. A wide area of
6 to in excess of 8 inch rain totals were reported across portions
of northern into central Missouri... with the highest totals of 8
to in excess of 10 inch totals in a band generally from Unionville
south southeast through Kirksville and Macon. These extremely high
rainfall totals have led to widespread flooding across the warned
    area.

    * Numerous Road closures have been reported... some of which include
U.S. Business 36 near Macon... U.S. 24 west of Randolph Springs and
U.S. 69 north of Bethany... in addition to many state and County
roads. Two Acre Pond at the Kirksville Country Club was reported
to have given way earlier... resulting in flooding over Highway 63
south of town. Also... portions of the Chariton river will crest at
    record levels.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur
in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges...
dips... or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream...
even a small one... on foot or in a vehicle.

A flooding warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If
you are in the warning area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property. Do not attempt to cross
swiftly flowing waters or waters of unknown depth by foot or by
    automobile.
