The National Weather Service in Springfield has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of central Missouri...
south central Missouri and southwest Missouri... including the
following areas... in central Missouri... Camden... Hickory and
Pulaski. In south central Missouri... Howell... Oregon...
Shannon and Texas. In southwest Missouri... Barry... Cedar...
Christian... Dade... Dallas... Douglas... Greene... Laclede...
Lawrence... Ozark... Polk... stone... Taney... Webster and Wright.

* Through Saturday evening

* multiple rounds of rain and thunderstorms are expected today and
tomorrow. This rain will be falling on saturated or nearly
saturated soil... resulting in an increased risk for flash
flooding.

* Small streams... creeks... and area rivers will be especially
susceptible to flash flooding. Those floating or camping on or
