Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of snow in the morning...then partly cloudy in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s. North winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect until 7 am CDT Sunday.
* Location... east central Kansas... west central into northeast Missouri... including the Kansas City Metro area... Chillicothe and Kirksville.
* Timing... after a lull in the precipitation this morning... snow will once again overspread the area this afternoon. This snowfall will likely last through tonight.
* Snow accumulations... between 3 and 5 inches of snow has already fallen from Basehor and Leavenworth Kansas across the Northland of Kansas City... with one to two inches of snow common south of the Missouri River. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected this afternoon and tonight. Storm total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches... with locally greater amounts will be possible by the time precipitation ends on Sunday.
* Impacts... roads will remain slick and hazardous... with less traveled and rural roads snow packed and even more dangerous today. In addition... strong north winds will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow which will reduce visibilities in some locations. Motorists should exercise extreme caution when traveling.

The Flood Warning continues for the Missouri River at Sibley. * From Thursday morning until further notice. * At 10:50 am Saturday the stage was 20.6 feet. * Flood stage is 22.0 feet. * Forecast... the river is expected to rise to near flood stage Thursday morning. * At 22.0 feet... low-lying rural areas along the river and outside of levee protection flood.
