Through 10 am...rain will slowly spread into extreme western Kentucky. At 8 am...the rain was along and west of a line from Pinckneyville Illinois...through Murphysboro Illinois...Cape Girardeau Missouri...to New Madrid. It will spread slowly east...reaching Du Quoin...Carbondale...Cairo Illinois...Bardwell...and Fulton Kentucky by 10 am. The rain will be locally heavy from Dexter Missouri...north across the hilly terrain...to Perryville. Rainfall rates will approach one half inch per hour. This could result in drainage problems where leaves are clogging drains.
