... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST Tuesday...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect until 6 am CST Tuesday.
* Timing: a cold rain will continue this afternoon before mixing or changing over to snow west of a St. Joseph to Maryville line this evening. Periods of snow will be possible into the nighttime hours.
* Main impact: a wet snow is expected to impact the Interstate 29 corridor... especially during the evening hours. Reduced visibilities and slushy snow covered Road conditions can be expected. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the advisory area.
* Other impacts: warm roads may limit accumulation on Road surfaces but snowfall rates may be high enough to overwhelm those relatively warmer Road surfaces at times. Snow accumulations are more likely on elevated and grassy surfaces.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
