* until Sunday July 12.
* At 1 PM Tuesday the stage was 38.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
* At 39.0 feet... in Tennessee, water begins to go over Tiptonville
Ferry Road, Barr Road, and the farmland east of the Tiptonville
Ferry Road.

the Mississippi River at New Madrid
* until further notice.
* At 12:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 36.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 36.2 feet by this
afternoon. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 38.0 feet... heavy agricultural damage begins.

* radar estimates show 1 to 2 inches of rain has fallen already
over broad swaths of the region... while some locally heavier
reports in the 3 to 5 inch range had already caused flooding.
With rivers already in flood... many creeks and streams either
flooding or near bankfull... and more rain on the way over the
next 24 to 36 hours... including the potential for repeat heavy
rains over the same areas... additional flash flooding is
expected.
