Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 6:01 AM CST on March 01, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
today...

A Winter Weather Advisory for freezing drizzle and snow remains
in effect until noon CST today.

* Short term trends... freezing drizzle will persist through the
morning hours with an additional glazing of ice expected.
Another band of snow was developing over south central Kansas
and will push east into extreme southeast Kansas into west
central and central Missouri this morning with an additional
inch or less of snow expected in areas where this band of snow occurs.

* Timing and areas affected... through this morning across the
Missouri Ozarks and south central Kansas.

* Snow accumulations... an inch or less additional snow is expected
over parts of central Missouri and a small part of extreme
southeast Kansas through the morning.

* Ice accumulations... while the freezing rain has ended... freezing
drizzle will persist through the morning and will bring an
additional glazing of ice to exposed surfaces.

* Impacts... the combination of falling and accumulating snow as
well as ice will make travel conditions hazardous. The Kansas
and Missouri departments of transportation continue to report
snow and ice covered roadways along with numerous slide offs and
accidents.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and freezing
drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
