Areal Flood Warning
Statement as of 7:01 PM CDT on July 02, 2015

... The Flood Warning remains in effect until 1100 am CDT Friday for
small streams in Benton... Camden... Cedar... Christian... Dade...
Dallas... Dent... Douglas... eastern Bourbon... Greene... Hickory...
Howell... Laclede... Maries... Miller... Morgan... northern Lawrence...
Oregon... Ozark... Phelps... Polk... Pulaski... Shannon... St. Clair...
stone... Taney... Texas... Vernon... Webster and Wright counties...

The Missouri Department of Transportation indicate that numerous
roads and low water crossings remain flooded due to the recent
heavy rainfall.

Many streams and rivers also remained in flood or at elevated
levels. Rivers in or near flood include portions of the
James... SAC... Pomme de Terre and Niangua rivers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It only takes a few inches of
swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
