The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at St. Louis
* until Wednesday morning July 8th.
* At 3 PM Wednesday the stage was 38.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast: the river is forecast to fall below flood stage by Tuesday
night.
* Impact: at 38.0 feet... the U.S. Coast Guard will consider closing
the St. Louis Harbor to navigation above this level. Four more
floodgates are closed at prairie Avenue, Madison Avenue, mullanphy
street, and the Railroad bed near lesparance street.
* Impact: at 37.5 feet... Highway 61/67 south of Pevely begin flooding
at the Joachim creek bridge.

the Missouri River at St. Charles
* until Wednesday July 8th.
* At 2 PM Wednesday the stage was 27.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast: the river is forecast to fall to near 25.6 feet tonight,
have a secondary crest near 28.6 feet Saturday night and fall below
flood stage by Tuesday night.
* Impact: at 27.0 feet... the Katy trail begins flooding near this
height along hawning Road, about 2 miles north northeast of the
Highway 370 bridge.
* Impact: at 26.5 feet... aubuchon Road begins flooding between teson
Road and Riverwood estates near this height.
* Impact: at 26.0 feet... Highway 94 begins flooding 1.5 miles SW of
Matson, MO.

* until Monday morning.
* At 11:30 am Wednesday the stage was 16.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast: the river crested at 16.8 feet last night and is forecast to fall
below flood stage tonight. The river is forecast to continue falling to near
15.6 feet Thursday night and then rise back above flood stage Friday evening,
cresting near 16.5 feet Saturday evening and then falling below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.

* Flood Advisory for...

northwestern St. Clair County in southwestern Illinois...
St. Louis city in east central Missouri...
northwestern St. Charles County in east central Missouri...
northeastern St. Louis County in east central Missouri...

* until 1130 PM CDT

* at 732 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms that will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Spotters have also reported street flooding in St. Charles.
Additional thunderstorms are expected throughout this evening and
may lead to flash flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
St. Louis... O'Fallon... St. Charles... St. Peters... Florissant...
Belleville... University City... Granite City... Maryland Heights...
east St. Louis... Hazelwood... Collinsville... Ferguson... Creve
Coeur... Fairview Heights... overland... Clayton... Cahokia... Jennings
and Swansea.
