A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect until 6 PM CST

* Timing... light snow has moved into far eastern Kansas and western
Missouri this morning and will continue to spread north and east
through the day. A lull in the snow is expected tonight followed by
another round of light snow on Sunday morning.

* Snow accumulations... 2" to 4" inches through the afternoon and
early evening hours... with another 1" to 2" inches possible Sunday
morning with the secondary band of snow. Total accumulations 3" to
6" with the highest amounts expected from southwest Missouri
through central Missouri.

* Impacts... travel may be hazardous... .especially on any untreated
roadways while it is snowing.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
