Local officials are reporting water continuing over roadways in low
lying areas resulting from snowmelt and ice jams. Overland flooding
is increasing along ditches... streams and tributaries... and
increasing the number of Road closures across the warned area.
Counties are reporting several County... township roads and bridges
with water running over them or washed out. Persons should be aware
of water over other roads across all of these counties... with the
probability of additional Road flooding as water continues to flow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around dont drown. Avoid driving on flooded roads. Most flood
related deaths occur in automobiles.

* At 10:15 am Thursday the stage was 36.1 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and for the next 7 days... major
flooding is forecast.
* Major flood stage is 36.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 38.0 feet by
tomorrow evening then begin falling.
* There is no crest forecast for this 7-day period.
* Possible ice jams in the Oslo area are causing stages to rise quickly.
Peak flows are expected during March 23 and 24. The potential for stages
to get to 38 feet is high due to ice jams.
* Impact statement(s) - at 37.0 feet, water affects the Canadian
Pacific Railroad tracks west of Oslo.

* Forecast... rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
rise to between 42 and 44 feet during the March 26 to March 28 time
period.
* There is no crest forecast for this 7-day period.
* Peak flows estimated between 65 and 70 thousand cubic feet per second.
* Impact statement(s) - at 42.0 feet, major flood stage. General urban
flood damage to Drayton and its environs.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and for the next 7 days... moderate
flooding is forecast.

* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 109.8 feet by
this afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday.
* Crest will approach major flood stage.
* Impact statement(s) - at 110.0 feet, major flood stage... 110 feet...
flooding between Hwy 1 and Railroad Grade due to backwater.
Inspections of the dike begin.
