A line of thunderstorms with torential rainfall...hail and brief strong wind gusts between 45 and 55 mph are moving across parts of south central...central and eastern Minnesota...into northwest Wisconsin this evening. The heaviest rain fall rates are up to an inch or more an hour from St Croix falls...to Stillwater to Minneapolis St Paul...south to Shakopee...Jordan...Le Sueur...St Peter...Mankato...St James... and Jackson. These storms are racing to the northeast at 40 mph...and at the same time the whole line is drifting to the east at 15 mph...away from St cloud and Litchfield and through the Twin City Metro area. After the rains begin they will last a couple hours...expect street flooding from blustery wind driven heavy rain.
