Scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop over parts of central and southwest Minnesota through the remainder of the afternoon. The threat of severe weather is not great but a couple of stronger storms are possible. The areas under the greatest risk of strong storms would be from Alexandria...Long Prairie...and Paynesville...and then south toward Willmar and Redwood Falls. Gusty winds and hail would be the main threats at this time. As of 430 PM...showers were developing north of Alexandria and Long Prairie.
