Rain is approaching the Twin City Metro between now and 500 PM. A line of strong thunderstorms with hail and strong gusty winds between 40 and 50 mph will plunge out of central Minnesota to the southeast and sweep across eastern Minnesota into western Wisconsin between now and 800 PM. The leading edge will move from Long Prairie...Sauk Centre...Willmar Olivia and Redwood Falls to Waseca...New Prague...to I-35 from Owatonna...Faribault...Minneapolis...North Branch...and Hinckley by 600 PM. Intense rains are likely with some hail around the big storms...while overall rainfall amounts will range from a quarter inch up to a half inch through the afternoon and early evening.
