The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a Winter Weather Advisory for another one to three inches of snow
which is in effect until 6 am CST Saturday. The Winter Storm
Warning has been cancelled.


* Timing... expect periods of light to occasionally moderate snow
to continue overnight.

* Accumulations... additional snow accumulations of one to three
inches... bringing storm totals to 10 to 18 inches.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

... Old twenty four hour snowfall record demolished at the St cloud
Airport...

The daily snowfall amount at the St cloud Airport for Christmas eve
was a very healthy 4.8 inches. This easily retired the old record of
4.0 inches recorded in December of 1920.
