Three to five inches of snow is expected across northern Minnesota... from the Iron Range north to the international border. Localized amounts to around 6 inches are possible close to the border. Some communities included in the advisory are International Falls... Cook... Ely... Hibbing... Virginia... Big Fork and Grand Marais. The main snow accumulations will occur from midday through early Wednesday morning. By Wednesday morning... strong northwesterly winds will cause blowing and drifting of the snow... reducing visibility at times in open areas.
