Statement as of 5:11 PM CST on December 09, 2013
... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 6 am CST Tuesday...
* timing... snow will occur this evening. Winds and blowing snow
will remain a concern through early Tuesday morning.
* Winds/visibility... west to northwest winds increasing to 25 to
35 mph with gusts as high as 50 mph. Strongest winds on the
Lee side of the prairie Coteau along I-29 from midnight to 3
am. Visibility will be reduced to near zero occasionally.
* Snow accumulations... up to an inch.
A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.
