Statement as of 5:45 am EDT on July 10, 2009 ... Record low maximum temperature set at Gaylord on July 7th... The temperature only reached a high of 58 degrees in Gaylord on Tuesday July 7th. This was the lowest high temperature ever recorded for this date... breaking the record of 60 degrees set in 2004. Records at Otsego County Airport have been partially established from co-op data.

Statement as of 7:02 PM EDT on July 10, 2009 ... Fischer-Porter rebuild /fpr/ now implemented at cooperative station Vanderbilt 11ene, Michigan, on July 10, 2009... This equipment modification will change the way the precipitation measurement is taken. There will be no change in the quality or the timeliness of this stations hourly precipitation data /hpd/. Data will continue to be reported in monthly hpd publications. There are a total of four sites that will receive the Fischer- Porter rebuild in the WFO-Gaylord County Warning Area /cwa/. Sites that have been upgraded are listed with their implementation dates below.
