	Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 7:50 AM EST on December 24, 2009 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 PM this evening to 5 PM EST Friday... Sleet and freezing rain will ice up the roads tonight and make travel difficult. Hazardous weather... * freezing rain and sleet will develop along and south of I- 94 by this evening and move north. It may be late this evening before areas north of US-10 see freezing rain develop. * A tenth to two tenths of an inch of ice accumulation is possible... with the greatest amounts north of M-46. * Easterly winds could gust to 35 mph. * Warmer air will move in from south to north Friday morning turning the freezing rain to rain. Areas north of M-46 will be the last to see the changeover. Impacts... * Holiday travel will be slower. Air traffic may be delayed. * Ice coated trees and gusty winds over 35 mph could lead to downed tree limbs and scattered power outages tonight and early Christmas day. Precautionary/preparedness actions... * a Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain and sleet means freezing rain and sleet may cause driving to become dangerous... so be prepared to use caution when traveling.
