... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 9 PM EST this
evening...

Hazardous weather...

* an additional 1 to 3 inches is expected through this evening.
   The heaviest snow is just offshore over Lake Huron but is
   drifting west toward land and will likely impact the eastern
   thumb.

* Total snow accumulations by this evening will range from 6 to
   locally as high as 11 inches... with the highest amounts across
   western Huron... eastern Tuscola... western Sanilac... and
   northern St Clair counties.

Impacts...

* roads will be snow-covered and slippery.

* Visibility may be severely reduced during times of heavier
   snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* a Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are
   expected or occurring. This will make travel very hazardous.

... Cautious travel is advised for snow-covered roadways and
reduced visibilities this evening...

Weather...

* snow will persist across the region during the evening commute.
   The most persistent snow will occur along the I 75 corridor
   from Saginaw to Detroit and along a line from Lapeer to Mount
   Clemens.

* Additional snow accumulations between 530 PM and 8 PM will vary
   from little more than a dusting to a half inch.

* West winds around 10 mph with gusts to 20 mph.

* Air temperatures will range between 25 and 28 degrees.

Impacts...

* additional snow along with a slight drop in temps with sunset
   will lead to slick roads... especially Road surfaces which have
   not been treated.

* The snow will cause reductions of visibility to less than one
   mile at times. There may be rapid fluctuations of visibility.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* the combination of snow and cold temperatures will result in
   localized slippery conditions and variable traffic rates
   throughout the region. Motorists are urged to use caution and
