* Timing/duration... a mix of freezing rain... snow and sleet is expected to develop Thursday afternoon. The precipitation should change to all freezing rain by early Thursday evening with the potential for ice accumulation. The precipitation should become all rain overnight as much warmer air moves north.
* Main impact... there is the potential for roads to become extremely slippery early Thursday night for several hours before temperatures rise above freezing. This includes the Interstate tollway... Highway 6... Interstate 94 and Interstate 69 over far northern Indiana into lower Michigan.
* Other impacts... ice will also accumulate on cold objects such as trees and power lines. Increasing winds may cause an increased risk of power outages.
