Statement as of 4:06 PM EST on December 08, 2009 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 PM this evening to 7 am EST Wednesday... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect from 7 PM this evening to 7 am EST Wednesday. Snow will begin to spread into Southeast Michigan this evening. The snow will then mix with and changeover to rain overnight. Snow accumulations will range from 2 to 3 inches. In addition... winds will gusts from 25 to 35 mph creating some blowing of the snow and reducing visibility. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
