Lake effect snow watch remains in effect from late tonight through Friday evening... A lake effect Snow Advisory remains in effect until 1 am EST Friday. A lake effect snow watch remains in effect from late tonight through Friday Evening. Lake effect snow showers will become heavier this afternoon as colder air moves into the region. Expect an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow this afternoon... with the highest amounts falling from Wakefield to Bergland... and Mass City. Plan on an additional 3 to locally 10 inches tonight through the day Friday. The heaviest snow during this period should fall over higher terrain from Bergland to Mass City. The lighter amounts will fall well inland of Lake Superior... south and east of Bruce Crossing. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A lake effect Snow Advisory Means Lake effect snow is forecast that will make travel difficult in some areas. Lake effect snow showers typically align themselves in bands and will likely be intense enough to drop several inches in localized areas. Use caution when traveling. A lake effect snow watch means there is a potential for a large amount of snow in only a few hours. Visibilities and depth of snow can vary greatly... impacting travel significantly.
