... Fischer-Porter rebuild /fpr/ now implemented at cooperative Station Lake city experimental farm, Michigan, on July 9, 2009...
This equipment modification will change the way the precipitation measurement is taken. There will be no change in the quality or the timeliness of this stations hourly precipitation data /hpd/. Data will continue to be reported in monthly hpd publications.
There are a total of four sites that will receive the Fischer- Porter rebuild in the WFO-Gaylord County Warning Area /cwa/. Sites that have been upgraded are listed with their implementation dates below.
The data from fpr gauges will be reported by the National climate data center /ncdc/ as a monthly product in the hourly precipitation data /hpd/ bulletin five months after the month of measurement.
