* Heavy snowfall will begin after midnight and last into the morning commute. Snowfall amounts of around 8 inches are expected by Wednesday morning.
* Easterly winds overnight of 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts will lead to blowing and drifting of the snow.
* Snow could briefly mix with sleet for a time Wednesday morning.
* Snow will transition to lake effect snow showers Wednesday afternoon. Snow showers will be accompanied by wind gusts to 40 mph during Wednesday evening into Thursday.
* Gusty winds along with rapidly falling temperatures will produce wind chills in the single digits beginning Wednesday evening.
* Expect total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches by daybreak Thursday.
