A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM EST /9 PM CST/ this evening. * Look for a mix of snow... rain and light freezing rain to develop early this afternoon. The precipitation will gradually change to all snow by sunset. * Expect additional snow accumulations through this evening of 2 to 4 inches. Some light ice accumulations are also possible. * Roads will be snow covered and slippery... and because the snow will be mixed with freezing rain and rain... travel will be especially hazardous. Shoveling and plowing of the snow will also be difficult. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and freezing rain means that periods of mixed precipitation will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered and slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
