A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM EST this afternoon. Snow will continue across the advisory area today before tapering to snow showers later this afternoon. Total snow accumulations will range from 2 to 4 inches across the region... except 4 to 8 inches is possible across the higher terrain by late this afternoon. Precautionary/preparedness actions... this storm will have a low impact on the advisory area. Snowfall across the region will lead to some minor travel difficulties. Visibility will occasionally be limited to less than one mile.

Statement as of 8:27 AM EST on November 28, 2009 ... Wind Advisory now in effect until midnight EST tonight... The Wind Advisory is now in effect until midnight EST tonight. Expect northwest winds to increase to 20 to 30 mph today... with gusts in excess of 45 mph possible at times. The highest winds will be along the immediate coast and higher terrain. Winds and gusts should diminish somewhat late tonight. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Prepare for the possibility of minor wind damage to shrubbery... trees... and loose objects. Older and weaker trees may be blown down... resulting in possible isolated power outages. Please report high wind speeds or any wind damage to the National Weather Service by calling toll free... 877-633-6772.
