The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 8 am EDT Saturday.

Dense fog is expected to develop across the area overnight into
the morning hours on Saturday. Visibilities will reduced to less
than one quarter of a mile.

If driving... slow down... use your headlights... and leave plenty
of distance ahead of you.

... Record daily maximum rainfall set at Portland ME...

a record rainfall of 1.77 inches was set at Portland ME yesterday.
This breaks the old record of 1.56 set in 1976.
