... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 345 PM EDT
for north Central Somerset County...

At 322 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable
of producing half dollar size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60
mph. This storm was located 10 miles west of Seboomook... or 21 miles
northeast of Jackman... moving northeast at 30 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Seboomook... Plymouth... Pittston Academy Grant... Soldiertown and
Brassua.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Severe thunderstorms produce damaging winds... destructive hail...
deadly lightning and very heavy rain. For your protection move to an
interior room on the lowest floor of your home or business. Heavy
rains flood roads quickly so do not drive into areas where water
covers the Road.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

The National Weather Service in Gray Maine has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
north Central Somerset County in west central Maine...

* until 545 PM EDT

* at 250 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Seboomook... town of Thorndike... Plymouth... Pittston Academy
Grant... Soldiertown... Alder Brook... Hammond... Moose River...
tomhegan... Rockwood strip and Brassua.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will make minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
