At 412 am EDT...National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a line of scattered showers pushing across the Northern Neck of Virginia and the lower Eastern Shore in the predawn hours this morning. The showers were oriented from 6 miles west of Ocean City to 8 miles west of Tappahannock...or from 6 miles west of Ocean City to 6 miles northeast of Saint Stephens church...moving southeast at 20 mph. Any showers will be rather short in duration...with only a brief period of light rainfall expected. Rainfall amounts will be very light...on the order of a few hundredths or less through 6 am.
