The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has issued a coastal Flood Warning... which is in effect until 6 am EST Friday. The coastal Flood Advisory is no longer in effect. A coastal Flood Watch remains in effect from Friday morning through late Friday night.
Moderate tidal flooding is expected along the Shores of Calvert and Saint Marys counties tonight. Tidal departures up to 3 feet can be expected. In relation to the high tide late this morning... high tide tonight should be about a half foot higher... with another half foot increase expected for the Friday morning high tide. Communities around Coltons Point and Saint Georges island in St Marys... and low lying around around Solomons Island in Calvert are some of the areas expected to have significant flooding impacts. Flooding impacts will likely persist during times of high tide into the weekend.

A strong coastal low pressure system will maintain a tight pressure gradient across southern Maryland. As strong northeast winds over the Chesapeake Bay continue through late tonight... occasional wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph can be expected... mainly along the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Winds will diminish gradually late tonight.
