The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a Wind Advisory... in effect until 6 am EST Friday for mainly coastal portions of Anne Arundel County.
A developing coastal low pressure system will result in a tight pressure gradient across southern Maryland. As strong northeast winds continue today... occasional wind gusts around 50 mph can be expected... mainly along the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Winds will diminish gradually this evening.
