... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from midnight
tonight to 1 am EST Saturday...
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight
to 1 am EST Saturday.
In the wake of a cold front... an Arctic air mass along with a
northwest flow will allow for accumulating snowfall across the
higher elevations of Garrett... Tucker... and Preston counties.
A mix of rain and snow showers will become all snow overnight...
with 1 to 2 inches expected by dawn Friday. Snow showers will
increase in intensity with winds gusting at 20 to 30 mph at times
Friday... reducing visibilities. With ongoing snow showers... an
additional 1 to 3 inches are expected through Friday night... .
with a total of 3 to 5 inches expected.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving. Report your snowfall accumulations to the National
Weather Service by calling toll free... 1-877-633-6772.
