Statement as of 1:11 PM EST on November 14, 2009
... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening...
A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening.
A northerly wind will continue this afternoon... and water will
not be able to drain from the northern Chesapeake Bay area during
this afternoon and this evening. As a result... minor tidal
flooding is expected around the times of high tide this afternoon
and into early this evening.
High tide along the upper eastern Maryland shore occurs later
this afternoon and into early this evening.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
Do not drive through flood waters... the water may be deeper than
you think it is.
