Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:48 AM EST on November 15, 2009
... Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to
9 PM EST this evening...
The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a coastal Flood Advisory... which is in effect from 4 PM
this afternoon to 9 PM EST this evening.
Due to increased water levels continue across the Chesapeake Bay
and tidal Potomac from the recent coastal storm... along with the
lunar phase approaching new moon... expect positive tidal anomalies
up to two feet with minor coastal flooding at sensitive locations
in the upper tidal Potomac this evening.

Washington DC channel... 6:45 PM
Alexandria... 7:03 PM
Indian Head... 6:31 PM
A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that
onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low
areas along the shore.
