Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 3:48 AM EST on November 14, 2009
... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening...
A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening.
A northeasterly wind continues today, therefore water will not be
allowed to drain from the tidal section of the Delaware River
during the next few days. As a result, minor tidal flooding is
expected around the times of high tide today. This advisory may
need to be extended in time if additional minor tidal flooding
looks likely.
High tide along the upper Eastern Shore occurs early this morning
hours and again this afternoon.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Do not drive through flood waters, the water may be deeper than
you think it is.
A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
