The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has issued a coastal Flood Warning... which is in effect until 6 am EST Friday. A coastal Flood Watch remains in effect from Friday morning through late Friday night.
Moderate tidal flooding is expected along the shores of Charles County tonight. Tidal departures of 2 to 3 feet can be expected. In relation to the high tide late this morning... high tide tonight should be about a half foot higher... with another half foot increase expected for the Friday morning high tide. Communities around Cobb Island and Morgantown are some of the areas expected to have significant flooding impacts. Flooding impacts will likely persist during times of high tide into the weekend.
