Periods of light to moderate rain will continue through the early morning hours...across much of the mid Atlantic region...into the Shenandoah Valley and central Appalachians. This activity will decrease across portions of the central Shenandoah Valley...west of Charlottesville. The heaviest activity will remain over the I-95 and Chesapeake Bay region...back across the Potomac River valley into western Maryland. An additional tenth to a quarter of an inch will be possible through 6 am. High standing water on roads and some small stream overflows can be anticipated due to moist soil conditions.
