... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 am EST Thursday...
A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 am EST Thursday for St. Marys County.
A developing coastal low pressure system will result in a tight pressure gradient across the southern portion of the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and lower tidal Potomac River. As strong northeasterly winds develop over the water tonight... occasional wind gusts in excess of 45 mph are expected to impact mainly coastal portions of St. Marys County along the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts in excess of 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
