Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 7:09 PM EST on November 15, 2009
... Dense fog advisory in effect until 1 am EST Monday...
The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 1 am EST Monday.
The combination of light winds... breaks in the clouds... and a
saturated ground has resulted in the formation of areas of dense fog.
Visibilities will be reduced to a quarter mile or less at times this
evening. The fog may tend to lift around or shortly after midnight as
winds increase a bit.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory is issued when dense fog will reduce
visibilities to one quarter mile or less for at least 3 hours...
resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Motorists are advised
to slow down as objects on and near roadways will be seen only at
close range.
