Statement as of 10:14 PM EDT on March 19, 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Nashua River at East Pepperell. * At 10:01 PM Friday the stage was 9.0 feet. * Flood stage is 8.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon. * Impact... at 9.0 feet... minor lowland flooding is likely along the river from East Pepperell downstream through Hollis. Flooding will impact low lying businesses along Route 119 in Pepperell in the vicinity of its Junction with Route 111. 1014 PM EDT Fri Mar 19 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Charles River at Dover. * At 9:00 PM Friday the stage was 7.2 feet. * Flood stage is 5.0 feet. * Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 6.7 feet by Sunday morning. * Impact... at 7.0 feet... flooding will close a portion of Mill Street in Dover. Flooding also affects low lying sections of Medway along Shaw street and Charles River Road... as well as 109 at the Millis - Medfield line. Flooding also is expected along causeway street in Medfield. 1014 PM EDT Fri Mar 19 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Concord River at Lowell. * At 9:45 PM Friday the stage was 9.4 feet. * Flood stage is 8.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 8.9 feet by Sunday morning. * Impact... at 9.0 feet... significant residential flooding will affect people living along the Concord River. In Lowell... Merrill street... joiners and Clark courts may be affected. In Billerica... Pershing street and stoney drive as well as the Elsie Avenue neighborhood will be affected. Follow the directions of emergency management officials. 1014 PM EDT Fri Mar 19 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Sudbury River at Saxonville. * At 9:15 PM Friday the stage was 11.1 feet. * Flood stage is 10.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by Sunday evening. * Impact... at 11.0 feet... flooding will affect portions of shore Road and Pelham Island Road through Wayland in the vicinity of Heards pond. Other low lying areas along the river will experience flooding. 1014 PM EDT Fri Mar 19 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Assabet River at Maynard. * At 9:15 PM Friday the stage was 5.4 feet. * Flood stage is 5.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by early Sunday morning. * Impact... at 5.0 feet... minor lowland and backyard flooding is likely along reaches of the river in Maynard... Concord as well as Hudson. Several river roads may also become covered in water. |
