Statement as of 4:49 AM EDT on March 19, 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Nashua River at East Pepperell. * At 4:00 am Friday the estimated stage was 10.5 feet. * Flood stage is 8.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow afternoon. * Impact... at 12.0 feet... flooding is expected in low lying residential areas along portions of the Nashua River. Follow the directions provided by your local emergency management officials. If you are asked to evacuate... do so immediately. Avoid flood prone locations. Know the alternate routes in your location so you avoid areas where flood waters may have damaged or closed area roadways. 449 am EDT Fri Mar 19 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Charles River at Dover. * At 4:00 am Friday the stage was 7.6 feet. * Flood stage is 5.0 feet. * Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 6.7 feet by tomorrow morning. * Impact... at 8.0 feet... flooding will impact portions of Dover... Medfield... Millis... Medway... South Natick... Needham and Wellesley with Road closures and local evacuations possible. 449 am EDT Fri Mar 19 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Concord River at Lowell. * At 2:30 am Friday the stage was 9.5 feet. * Flood stage is 8.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 9.2 feet by tomorrow morning. * Impact... at 9.0 feet... significant residential flooding will affect people living along the Concord River. In Lowell... Merrill street... joiners and Clark courts may be affected. In Billerica... Pershing street and stoney drive as well as the Elsie Avenue neighborhood will be affected. Follow the directions of emergency management officials. 449 am EDT Fri Mar 19 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Sudbury River at Saxonville. * At 4:15 am Friday the stage was 11.4 feet. * Flood stage is 10.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 10.6 feet by tomorrow morning. * Impact... at 11.0 feet... flooding will affect portions of shore Road and Pelham Island Road through Wayland in the vicinity of Heards pond. Other low lying areas along the river will experience flooding. 449 am EDT Fri Mar 19 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the Assabet River at Maynard. * At 2:30 am Friday the stage was 5.8 feet. * Flood stage is 5.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow afternoon. * Impact... at 6.0 feet... flooding is likely in low lying sections along the river including portions of Maynard... Hudson and Concord. Water may approach homes along the river and may force several localized Road closures. |
