At 1249 am EDT National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
line of thunderstorms with the potential to produce frequent
lightning strikes... brief poor drainage street flooding and westerly
wind gusts to 30 mph along a line extending from 10 miles west of
Fitchburg to 19 miles west of Worcester to 14 miles northeast of
Torrington... developing east at 35 to 45 mph. These storms will be
affecting much of central and southwest Massachusetts through 130 am
and probably move into bostons western and northwest suburbs near
145 am.
