Statement as of 4:13 AM EST on November 24, 2014

...Wind Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM EST this afternoon...

* location...southern Rhode Island and far southeast Massachusetts. This includes Cape Cod and the islands.

* Winds...south 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Strongest winds across cape and islands and southeast coastal Massachusetts.

* Timing...Monday morning into early Monday afternoon.

* Impacts...wind gusts may be strong enough to knock down a few tree limbs...possibly causing isolated power disruptions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be 31 to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph. Winds this strong are capable of Downing small tree limbs and branches...possibly causing isolated power outages. Driving can also be difficult...especially for high profile vehicles.
